What’s a one-sheet?

The one-sheet is sometimes called an actor one-sheet, marketing doc, or visual pitch. It is a single 8.5" x11" page used as a visual elevator pitch you can use to market to casting directors, agents, managers, and anyone else in the entertainment industry. It's great for everyone, even for actors who are just starting out, and many managers are starting to use them to pitch their talent.
The most commonly used layout and design is the magazine look. Dallas Travers started this trend in the 2010s, and it was novel and innovative at the time. Unfortunately, it is overused today, not because it is an industry standard but only because coaches who are not designers suggest it.

Start to Finish Process:
Booking: After you book a custom design, you’ll receive an email from me with a link to a short questionnaire for you to fill out so I can get to know you better.
Questionnaire: The questionnaire helps me understand your brand and design preferences. It’s 19 questions to help us hone in on your goals and style.
Consultation: We’ll schedule a 30-minute design consultation to discuss your answers on the questionnaire and specifically talk about the colors and fonts that will best convey your unique essence.
Design Drafts: You have three rounds of edits, with an option for one edit over Zoom. You can share the drafts with your team and anyone else you’d like.
Finalization: Once your design is finalized, you’ll receive your completed files.

A special PDF with:
the colors and fonts we used so that you can share them with anyone else who might need them for your marketing (E.g. a web designer)
A special link to your Canva template so you can make edits when you need to
A link to a short tutorial on how to use Canva

Canva DIY Template $27
If you want to DIY a one-sheet but need some guidance with a layout, check out my DIY Template shop. All layout designs were created using Canva, a free, user-friendly graphic design platform. Everything is customizable, from fonts and texts to images and colors. Since the foundation is already created, you only need to change these minor details. All DIY Templates will include links to useful tutorials to help you with Canva.
One-Sheet FAQ
What is the turnaround time for a Custom Design?
It’s hard to say exactly because this process is very collaborative, but on average, it takes about a week after our 30-minute consultation. It usually takes me about 48 hours to finish and send you a first draft, and after that, it will be about how quickly you can send me your editing notes. This will also depend on how many other orders I am working on and any other obligations I may have ( e.g., auditions, bookings, directing)
Do you have a hybrid option? What if I get a DIY but would like design help from you?
I offer a one-hour design consultation/coaching if you need help with your design. We can work on finding the right colors and fonts for you, or you can use the time to ask me any design or Canva-specific questions. I can also help with the tech if you’re struggling with it.
